UEL Member Petter Eide (Socialist Left Party, Norway), co-rapporteur for the monitoring of Albania by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) welcomed the agreement reached between the ruling majority and the parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition on reform of the electoral framework that will govern the country’s next election.
“Once the COVID-19 situation allows it, I would like to make a fact-finding visit with my colleague to Albania in order to discuss the implementation of the agreement on electoral reform, as well as other important questions relevant within the monitoring process,” says Mr. Eide.
